The RMTV is the competent and proficient body for presenting the interests of taxi-businesses in the Rhein-Main area. There are more than 1100 independent taxi-businesses in the city of Frankfurt itself. Some 800 operate only one vehicle which are predominantly driven by their owners. These owner-drivers have little time for the furthering of their political or commercial interests.
For this reason the RMTV exists, a capable business association which substantially influences the commercial framework for the taxi trade.
In exerting its influence in matters such as the issuing of taxi trade licences, the negotiation of fair taxi-tariffs, promoting the cooperation with the municipal public transportation services or making available especially advantageous conditions of purchase – in all this the RMTV has in the past few years made a substantial contribution to a commercial framework enabling taxi-businesses to do more than merely survive.
Above and beyond the “major” local commercial or political issues the RMTV is of course active in all those matters relevant to the everyday running of a taxi business. Members can obtain expert advice from the RMTV on all the pertinent aspects of a taxi business.
