TAXI FRANKFURT eG uses two different radio dispatching systems manage the vehicle fleets.
The dispatching system supplied by the firm GEFOS utilises company radio frequencies to communicate in Frankfurt. The system could also use GPRS technology.
Once your taxi reservation has been entered into the system everything from the dispatching of the order to the verification of the fare transpires fully automatically. Since the dispatching system utilises the taxi ranks in Frankfurt, the taxi driver must register and log his vehicle in onto a taxi rank in order to obtain an order.
The second dispatching system, supplied by the firm FMS-Austrosoft, also communicates via company radio frequencies. This system is also fully automatic.
